Has anyone done this before?

Thinking of doing it next year 1) as it looks good fund and 2) as nice way to raise some money for some childrens charities. I was wondering if people had done it or followed it before. Additionally any information or advice would be more than welcome.

Work look as if they may give me the time off paid as its for charity as well... and as i work in banking, alot of people have allready suggested interest in donations. So looks like i could raise some half decent money...

I suppose the next bit is looking for the right car... wonder if its possiable to get a clio for the job

I need to understand the rules more but says the car needs to cost no more than 500 GBP yet you can spend what ever you like on modifications, if so easily get a cheap clio (non runner) and could do a big engine conversion!

This is true! Need to have a look about but going with the idea of a bmw saab or volvo, jusy oviously going to need to get power out of them!

Would be nice to do it in a clio but with 4 people carrying tools and spares ect... Theres not going to be alot of space... May ruie the clio out

Been looking at doing this. We were looking at going totally barry with an escort or an astra. Im not sure what the rules are about ditching it at the end and flying home...
