The single best 182 mod?

I'd say exhaust....OE one will fail anyways.

Induction/exhaust make the car more fun to drive imo.....either of those or apex lowering springs to make the car sit nicer :D

Apex 40mm

suspension, deffo, wouuld bother with zorsts, they never seem to fit right and always vibrate and rattle the heatshields/bumper/subframe/rear trailing beam etc etc....

Decent coilovers that are setup properly.
Then some 4pots.

You don't need anything else, you'll already be faster than 99% of the 182's on here around a track.

Driving skill would have more effect imo. Driving tuition is well worth the money.

I do mate. Went from the OE suspension to Apex springs to GAZ coilovers and as of monday i will be Leda equipped ;)

I see that Apex also do a -60mm spring....isn't that pushing it a bit considering its still on standard shocks. Has anyone lowered their clio by 60mm in this way (and lived to tell the tale!)?

Prob worth mentioning that the 40mm springs caused a rear damper to leak although its common problem on standard suspension.

Racing Blue182....i should the apex springs, the GAZ kit will be up for sale as of monday

Anyone got photos of their Silvervisions fitted. Wasn't it difficult to fit them due to lack of space under the bonnet??

lol @ silvervisions. C'mon guys, I'm talking of mods that non-cliosporters might notice too ;)

Just done a little search on Apex, and the general consensus is that they're too harsh and will possibly make your shocks leak...although they do lower more than most springs.

If Apex are 'harsh', how do they feel in comparison to the Gaz coilovers?

Like your in a bloody Rolls Royce mate lol. IMO they are not a harsh spring....firm but not overly hard or ride ruining. Maybe consider running uprated dampers with springs?

...£350 and u can have my GAZ coilovers, need some lower rate springs for them tho!!

I vote ITG filter, the only mod that SAVES u money in the long term (mpg).

Ive had a standard filter, Viper and an ITG panel filter on my car and the ITG certainly doesnt give you more mpg.

lol. Well one likes a bit of 'give' in the ride, doesn't one!

Did the Gaz coilovers make it much harder after the apex's?

YES. Alot. lol

Put it this way mate....the girlfriend didnt even notice the apex springs but shes always moaning about the coilovers lol

I would say a Viper is a good first mod.. can be done on its own. sounds good and helps fee up a few ponies. can be used with other mods as well
