Would love to know why it's always number 1 that puts a leg out on the F4R there must be some reason/weakness to cause it as all of the meganes that threw rods have done exactly the same thing.

Mine did a fairly similar thing to Kelv's but was number 3 on mine.

Bad news Kelv :( I'm sure you'll have it up and running again soon! I found the other week that my engine that failed last year had a spun centre main bearing, would be interesting to see if yours has done the same.

furthest from the oil pump is the obvious one. Although when the spin a shell is't normally number 2 IME

James, I shall investigate when the engine is out and see if anything is obvious as to why it let go.
