"the works" valver-hillpower

  ValverInBits
Just found this pic of a valver on the hillpower website

Does anyone know what the engine is and what the car was built for?
Specs? output?
Looks interesting

Is it a 1.7 480 turbo? if it is, it's the farkin neatest one ever done IMO.

Thats not a valver, it in fact looks like a 1.4 energy lump with a different inlet manifold on it. Doesn't look like an RSi lump the manifold is similar (same?) as the inlet from one.

  Sunflower & Golf Mk6 BMT
Looks like a SOHC 8v engine with a crazy manifold. It does'nt looked turbo'd to me?

have to say the inlet manifold looks quite small. 1.4 sounds probable. But then you ask, why all the effort??
It's probably just been tidied up and had a samco pack fitted. :( gutted, thought it was going to be more interesting tbh

it's a valver shell atleast, you can tell by the bolt in slam panel

is it not an F3P 1.8 8v mpi? I heard nick hill is a big fan of those engines and had converted a few...?

Nope its 100% an Energy lump so either a 1.2/1.4/1.6.

Having spent a looooooooooooong time looking at volvo turbo lumps and getting one running it defo aint that!

Its either a 1.4 8v E7J or the 1.6 8v of the same family, you cant tell from that photo

its the 1.6 8v. was intended as a cheap upgrade for lower spec'd cars. Standard tune was 90bhp though reacted very well to breathing mods. Mine was like a different car with free flow exhaust and decat

  1.6 Rotrex High Comp
That very same engine's in my motor now...

To confirm, 8v k7m... Now high compression setup and dta electronics (specs below if you care)...

It's currently in a rapidly rusting up 5-door, but is soon to be transplanted into a 1992 valver chassis... there is also talk of a centrifugal supercharger...

To the person who asked if hillpower are any good, give Nick your motor... You will not be disappointed...

1.6 k7m
nick's crazy 'through the firewall' intake (what a sound)
supersprint manifold
no cat
stainless all the way through
lairy cam. possibly too lairy but hey...
high comp pistons
dta s40 ecu
power steering gone
rsi brakes, with tar-ox grooved discs and fast road pads
35mm down on a cheapo set of shocks and springs
15's...with 195 45 toyo proxies...
