It's made better by how you tried blurring it out in the first picture haha

I didn't want CS's opinions in the first one but couldn't be arsed with the second one[emoji23]

Posted some of this on Yorkshire chat but need to update my project thread.

Bought some coilovers on Thursday and had them fitted on Friday.

And just today I went to my cousins house to give the car a good clean and get some better pics:

Looks 10000 times better ! Handle better?

Definitley better. Hardly any body roll but haven't taken it for a proper spirited drive yet. 1 thing I've definitely noticed is it is VERY stiff and bumpy, as I expected with coilovers but not as bad as I imagined

Looks really good and really low too.

Do something with that grille though jeeeeezus.

Thanks mate, and yes grille is on the list which I think I may try plasti dip instead of paint. Also headlights are top of the list, they're too far gone for a refurb tbh so I'm gonna buy a brand new pair[emoji106]
However I have just encountered a new problem which I think is related to those rear LED bulbs, video to follow.

Just to give all the information this only happens when the brake is pressed and the left indicator is on. If just the brake is pressed then the rear fogs and left indicator will light up faintly and when the left indicator is on the rear fogs will come on faintly. When both are done together all this flashing malarky happens

Also, the right indicator has no issues and causes nothing to go funny

Ok time for some updates as this thread has died. I have done some bits to the car but haven’t been updating regularly so I will put each update in a separate post.
So first of all new front bumper fitted with the plastic inserts colour coded and also a pair of headlights that are much better than my old ones

After the bumper I did a simple de wiper on the back (ended up scratching my boot lid but we shall not talk about that)

And finally we get up to date with the most recent (and best) change which is a set of 172 wheels with 15mm spacers up front, incredibly happy with how the car looks now just need to tidy it up with some centre caps.

That looks ace mate! Centre caps will finish it off nicely.

Any scraping on the front?

Cheers mate, centre caps defo needed! There’s no scraping or rubbing anywhere but needed the spacers for the wheels to clear the coilovers.

Looks Much better. Made a lot of progress since karting meet, probably wouldn't realise it was the Same car! Cup spoiler would finish that off nicely

Thanks mate[emoji16] cup spoiler is on the cards don’t know when yet though. Spacers for the rears first as they sit too far in the arches.

Looks loads better with the new wheels. Just needs a spoiler and a good session with a DA.

Yeah it needs some good time spent cleaning up, polishing and sealing all over to make it look decent but right now it’s not something I can afford to do

Yep, wheels and CC bumper looks loads better. Stance looks good.

Cup spoiler and done I'd say.

Yeah I’d say I’m coming to the end of mods that I would want to do with it now, after that I will focus on cleaning it up and giving the engine some tlc

20mm spacers fitted to the rear. Got some for front as well as I bought 4 but will probably just leave it at 15mm.

Now looking for a cup spoiler and some side skirts to cover up the horrible sills.

Well after not being active on the forums for a bloody long time, its time to update this thread. For my own keep-sake.

The car went through various changes from the last time I posted but I can't really remember or neither can I be bothered listing them all.
The car stayed the same for a rather long time and an accumulation of factors made me fall out of love with the car more and more each day; I decided to make a change. After selling my AXE EX8s, I posted the car for sale on Facebook and it sold to some Bradford boy for £435.

5 days later I get a phone call from the lad telling me he's ran it into a wall and dumped it; "tell the police it was someone else who bought it" t**t:mad:. I got in touch with him again and found out it had been recovered by the police (he has never had a license and you can guess the rest) and he had no idea where it was. I'm guessing its either been auctioned off or crushed by now.

It was an absolute shed that car, no service history, I never serviced it, it was pretty tatty to be honest but it just kept marching on, no problems whatsoever! (apart from a few issues but those were MY FAULT not the cars) Not what you would expect from a 16/17 year old 1.2 Clio.

Just been through a load of old pics of the car and genuinley made me realise how big a part of my life that car was.
My first car, my freedom, made loads of memories, met loads of new people and just generally made me happy!

I miss you YT02? (you can judge me all you want for writing a "soppy" post about a car, but that car meant a lot to me, and always will.)

I'll attach a collection of my favourite pictures of the car.

Polite Reminder that this post is for my own keep-sake like I mentioned. From the day I got that car I wanted to document my journey with it so I could always look back and I think I have done just that.

Come on mate, it wasn't that much of a shed! Shame it died in that way though. You need to get another, they always come back you know ??.
Paul I can tell you from 3 years of owning it was a bit of a shitter on the outside but mechanically really strong. I can guarantee I’ll be back in another one but it’s a waiting game for insurance prices to go down and for me to have a stable income. I want a trophy:sneaky:
RIP YT02 ❤

Now time to save up, realise buying a shed of a vag is a bad idea and come back to the french life with a proper clio ;)
Aye like I say I’ll be back in one, just a waiting game haha
