I dont want it on the road, or anything.. just want it insured incase it gets nicked? (Gunna be parked up in garage or something)

Mines insured off the road with CIS, costs sod all as well. Mine still covers for fire and stuff like that too.

Cool, Ill give them a ring.. its not as if its going anywhere anyway with no engine in it.

that what i explained to them. No engine or wheels etc most of the time. Just have to tell them where its normally kept. Its also good as theyve insured mine for if its on a trailer etc as my other car insurance didnt cover that.

Cos they normally wont quote for young drivers on high insurance group cars.

I insured my RS as off road for £125 for the year I believe. I think it also covered it for tranposrt on a trailer to and from a garage, but you need to arrange normal cover or whatever if youre going to get it motd or fixed and are driving it there! lol

no im only 19 and think it might have even been less than 125 pounds. Cant remember exactly how much now though but knew with the price they had quoted id have been a fool not to.

id you want to be more secure and safe about your motor when its in the garage. Then you want to get one of them bars that go along the bottom but have it up from the floor about 10cm/20cm. So that theifs cant bend ur door up or smack it open at the top. Will be piece keeping on your mind and make you sleep much easier. Just remember to have big chuncky LOCKS so they cant bolt crop the lock off as your bar will not be useful at all
