doesn't mention Williams either and apparently they are the quickest according to another thread. Oops worms and cans spring to mind!!
I can imagine why thieves leave them, they are french and look harmless and not much fun to steal "I stole a clio last night" doesn't hold much weight down the Youth Club
its not about car theft anymore, because im not bothered about that, if mine gets stolen at least ill get the insurance to buy a new one.
Its vandalism etc that i fear the most, or some chav smashing in your windows for a road map, or attempting to pop your lock with a piece of metal and knackering your door and paintwork in the process, thats where the expense comes into it.
...its also to do with how easy they are to nick (thats why the Belmont is in there, its statistically the easiest car to steal - its not cos its good to drive!!!). They wont target a car they wont be able to start or get into.
Clios are very difficult to steal - the built in chip in the key fob that controls the immobiliser is fool proof. I have never had a stolen recovered clio in my garage and very rarely see them at salvage yards.
