Things that go bump in the night

Hello, new to this game. Recently bought at mk1 172 (2001) and loving it to bits. However, there are knocking sounds coming from the top of the suspension area when driving, especially when pulling away from a standstill or maneuvering. Handling doesnt seem to be affected though. Has anybody else had a similar problem or got any answers please?

I suffer slightly from it, mainly when turning sharply.

Not much you can do about it as far as I know.

Helloe, only thing i can suggest is check the condition of the strut topo mounts and rubbers underneath, and check that the top mounts are torqued up correctly
