Things To Do Near GDI?

Hello all,

I'm booking my car in at GDI late January and whilst the car is in for a service I was wondering what there is to do that's not too far away from GDI's workshop?

What's the public transport like?

I did a quick search and there appears to be a Zoo, a country park, a maze and not much else...

Reason why I'm asking is I was thinking of taking the mrs down with me and then making a long weekend of it. Might as well take in some sights whilst out and about!!

Erm, there is cambridge, nice place, lots of touristy s**t to do or just some nice shopping...

Cheap= Crap most of the time !! he is driving quiye a way by the sounds of things and gdi have a very good rep !! so you get what you pay for

Hang around, never known a place which is so friendly... Plus you learn a bit as well, check out the dodge viper.... and other customer cars always interesting

Hang around mate, they are well chatty and its always a good sign when a garage lets you watch them work on your own car.

Plus you never know they might let you take one of the throttle bodied beasts for a burn

As much as I'd enjoy chatting car stuff I'm taking the mrs with me so was thinking she might get a bit bored

Probably stay over in Cambridge then for a weekend away, any hotels recommended?
