Thinking of selling the 172. Thoughts pls...

Hi all

I have a '02 full fat iceberg 172 which I'm thinking of selling.

It's the usual spec, not had any mods other than silver vision repeaters. It's got a full service history and had the cambelt change at 72k, all receipted and booked stamped. the mileage is 91k (i know!).

It runs a treat and also comes with an Alpine iPod head unit with the iPod dock in the glove compartment.

My question is, how much do you think I should put it up for? The wheels probably need about 40 quid each spending on them to bring it back up to where I'd love it to be and it has 2 small scratches on it which I've had quoted at 110 quid for being done.

I'd post some pics but I don't have any yet, but as I say it looks great and has nothing wrong with it.

Best thing to do is look at piston heads and auto trader and price accordingly mate. The market will dictate the price at the end of the day.

Mmmm i dunno ive seen lower milage ones go for £3500, id price it about 3850 and take no lesss than 3500

I'd like to sell my 172 as well but know I'd get f**k all for it so won't be able to buy anything decent afterwards

IMO your best sticking with it if it's a good car

aye, paid 6 for mine in oct last year and that was the cheapest about, not selling mine for a long long time else ill mae a mahoosive loss

i made a 1500 loss on my black 172 when i sold it earlier this year after picking her up in Sept last.

Cars are money pits - end of really......

sold the 1.2 for alot more than i paid
sold the ph1 for £150 more than i paid,

only car ive lost on is the 106 sold it after a week for a £200 loss
