Just a slilly little thing, but one of those times you are proud to be driving around in your Cliosport.

Jumps out of the machine and Im waiting in the queue for the cashpoint, when I hear two teenagers behind "Cliosport...2litre 16V....sweeeeeeeeeeeeet...Excuse me mate is that yours?" A short conversation ensues with the guys asking questions about the car, was it standard? how much was the insurance? etc. They were your average sterotypical teens at first site, but were actually nice blokes, and I drove away well chuffed

Any of you guys get similiar attention to you Clios?

I was filling up in a petrol station in newbury before xmas when some guy walked over and said, "nice little cars these dynamiques".... I explained it was a Cup and not a dymanique and let him sit in, strapped him in with the harnesses etc. Had a great chat and hopefully he went and bought one.

When I had the 172 I was filling up and the guy in front of me had an older Clio. He came over and said he much how liked my car, asked if it was quick as usual and said hed love one, one day. The 182 draws a lot more looks than the 172 ever did, but thats just because of the more obvious colour and the wheels.

i get attention with the chrome rims and bonnet vents. caught some bloke stroking them, funny!

had couple of lads ask if id had the twin pipes done my self on my 182 i said na its standard they asked for a go and u know what i said no chance clio sports are the nuts had 172 cup now 182 bring on the 202 whoooooooooooooooooooooooo yea

No-ones ever said a word to me about my 172, but thats probably because it doesnt look much different to every other black Clio (to the untrained eye )

Oh actually I lie, I parked up in my street once next to two blokes drinking beer on their front step (nice!) who said Nice car, why didnt you get the 3 litre one? and I spent the rest of the evening wondering if they were keying it.

Saw a 182 in racing blue without the stripes going the other way recently, and it stood out a MILE - looked stunning.

I remember when my bro parked his v6 in town and left me in the car..... Was amazing, people walked out of the hair dressers to have a look! Kids where taking Pictures with there phone and one bloke said "nice isnt it" to the kiids taking pictures, they said is it yours to the bloke? "he said i fooking wish"

It can be a pain in the arse some times, as a Squaddie I am always getting idiots on the main gates of camps wanting to search me motor, just for a look. but its nice knowing that other people like the look of your motor!!

The valver is quite a subtle car I find, it does get alot of glances when in traffic etc. It attratcs the most attention when your behind cars and they notice the bonnet bulge

Had a few nice comments from people, gets alot of looks driving through highstreets etc.

When paying for petrol at a shell garage the lad behind the counter said "is that a williams?" I said no, its the 16v, he sadi "Oh" quite dissapointingly! lol

had some bloke say to me in a motorway services about swapping their clio for mine as his was a 1.2.

also when i had the micra courtesy car some old giffer was asking me in the petrol station about it saying hed got one of the older micras and was this one as good!

i fear strangers....

I got a lot more attention in the 225, but that was only down to the colour (inferno)...

That said, Ive had a few knocks on the window in town, in my 182.

182 attracts LOTS of attention. Im forever hearing passersby talk about it as im walking back to it etc. always makes me smile

The only time a stranger has asked me about my car was some old dude in at National Tyres asking me if it was a diesel! lol

I occasionally see people coping a glance at my car. I think its more the colour that attracts them than the car itself tho. The metallic red really pops in the sunlight.

Smokey can vouch for this when I say we drove through his town before xmas, both line-astern like something out of the Italian Job and kids on the pavement just stood, pointed and watched as we both drove up, popped to the bank and then drove off rapidly in my Cup and his 182. Was ace.

Like TomS said "The valver is quite a subtle car I find". But I still catch people having a good look every now and a gain. I dont like to many people looking tho as it gets me paranoid.

Too soon to pass comment on my 172, but my Williams got loads of attention. I remember some car following me, with the passenger getting a pic on their phone!

Yeah i get loads of interest in 123, got a few people taking pictures on the M4 when i was taking it home, in convoy with my Cup Happy days
