Those of you with Stripes

Have you got them declared on your insurance?

When I bought the car last year and got insured with Elephant they said I needed to declare them as an External Modifcation. I did this and it cost me £150. :dapprove:

My car came with them on so they are standard surely?

I haven't told my insurance. External mod?? It's like telling them about cup packs etc.... it's standard on the car.

afaik they cant charge you for anything as a "modification" if it leaves the factory that way. Should tell em to go f**k emselves, you dont declare factory tints as modifications etc

LOL, well mines currently on ~29 so not bad at all.

That's probably due to the fact that Alex is on holiday so we haven't been thrasing it down the country roads, I've done the A14 and everything this week!

I am slightly mental yes. They asked if it had any extras on the car and I said it has the factory option of Stripes and it came like that. He put me on hold and said I had to delcare them!
That was nearly a year ago, I will be changing companies this time and won't be declaring them as they come on the car.
It was Elephant and I know I have been ripped off
