Might run it through a test. I did read that part quickly but i just assumed it was just stolen recovered. Thanks mate.

I wouldn't say it's a s**t box, nothing in the description says it's a s**t box, but it has vital information missed. So from the description I'd say 1.5k yes.

I think it looks stunning, just needs a splitter and a standard exhaust and that is a good looking motor.

Lol at retails over 5k though.

1.5k if its just been stolen and recovered and not crashed. Stolen and recovered could be very minor unless they stole it and started doing jumps in it lol

I wonder in what way it was stolen, ie if they pinched the keys as lets face it a joyrider has no chance of getting one of those to start really.

Seems silly to go for a cat c /d when they are so cheap now anyway. If you got that for 1500 then sorted the scuffs on bodywork, steering wheel, air filter, belts?, general service, the right headrests, another key you'll have spent far more than its worth.

If you just want a track car though on the other hand, it would be a good starting point as a few scuffs and the wrong headrests or steering wheel wouldnt matter.

Just noticed it has a trophy/v6 spoiler, someone needs to buy it just for that!

A mate of mine bought a Lotus Elise stolen recovered from a breakers that dealt with insurance companys.

It had been stolen with the key and even came with another key. No damage at all, £4k off normal price.

Thats what I was thinking with this one, stolen recovered used to mean screwdrivered locks and broken ignition barrels etc, but that doesnt work on modern cars so its normally pinched keys and no damage!

That's the only way cars basically get stolen nowadays, the break into your house, work etc and lift your keys. Too difficult to nick a car that is alarmed and immobilised!

I'd certainly buy this type of vehicle, even when you come to sell it, you'd only lose the same as if you bought a non recorded car.

I've owned a Cat D car before, saved me about £2k off the current prices, sold it £2k below book a year or so later, got snapped up within days. I kept all the photos of the damage and a receipt of work completed that I included when I sold it.

id keep away from them, they "part repair" (bodge) everythin they buy; to make look lightly damaged, when you go to collect, they wont let you leave unless leave positive feedback there and then for the car

email some of there previous "happy" customers and they'll tell u a story or two

read the feedback, all comments are the same:S:S

I guess people wont have a leg to stand on considering the ad very explicitly states that the car hasnt been test driven and that they know nothing about it and that bidders should go and see the car first etc.
