Thoughts please...

So a few weeks ago I was on the way down to the Nürburgring and messing about with some mates. I dropped from 5th into what I thought was 4th at the time [emoji23] turned out it was 2nd!(ouch!!). Of course the engine went bang. Now it still turns over fine but seems like it has no compression. (Haven’t had a chance to look at it properly yet). Could I have got away with just a set of rings or could it be much worse?.

Of course to get the real answer it’s going to have to come apart but just after some thoughts please.

It won’t be the rings you need to worry about.. it’ll have no doubt bent the majority (if not all) of the valves! And with that comes the damage to the piston crowns!

It won’t be pretty, put it that way!

Haha yeah I did wonder that but it cranks over fine so thought they might be okay. I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to look but I guess the head will be coming off next weekend to get a better idea.
