Seems to be a mix of opinions. Its suprising when these sorts of car vs car threads come up just how many people claimed to have raced the car in question. I could count the number of proper races Ive had in the 172 on a lepers hand.

Ive had a go in my bros Cav GSi and its not as quick as the clio. Its close but doesnt have the extra edge as you really get into the revs. The longer gearing doesnt help either. If it was a 60-100+ race then the clio wouldnt fare so well. A Corsa/Nova valver would probabaly be closer for 0-60.

i tend to agree. Never driven a 172 but from what ive read on here theyre quite nippy
