Throttle Bodies... ?

  ITB'd MK1
Guessing the base map is already on it

it's FAR more than a base map. Months of development have gone into maps for each Sport Clio variant. There's a little safety built into the maps, nothing you'd notice to drive, and you'd be hard pushed to improve on them.

TB's couldnt be a worse choice just now if you tried imo

You have a turbo conversion at 2.5k

A Supercup inlet coming up which is said to flow better, give roughly the same results as TB's and for 1500k region

...and the Supercharger kit which produces just about Evo levels of bhp and the potential for silly amounts of power with a sorted bottom end.

Supercup inlets sound good.

Where do you get them from ?

Us, shortly. Quite a bit under £1500 as well! PM for details as it saves hijacking someone elses thread :)

Cheers

i presume that you have an insurance quote for your car with itb's turbo set up etc yeh? mine was about the same price as insuring mistibushi evos and the like when i had mine.

Calm down, im only asking.

So you get your TB's and a standalone pre mapped in the kit, generic base map

What happens if you have cams or other mods? Will it need remapping to suit then?

we have a fairly good library of maps to cover most variants including ones with cams ect. if you do have something different to what we already have a map for then it is usually minor tweaks and we are usually the people to talk to as we can usually do a good deal for you so we can extend our maps library further.

There was another thread kicking about on it too. Looks promising and far better value than TB's plus saves a trip right down south for mapping

Does look and sound promising, but it wont be comparable to ITB's on a performance level. Don't know where people are getting this idea from with zero supporting facts. Good luck either way, cheap alternatives are always a good thing, just not getting drawn in by the hype until I see something concrete.

From whats wrote, after bench testing the inlet is said to flow even better than TB's so performance levels wont be too far away plus if you take into account the costs vs TB's theres no comparison.

I've seen Jenvey's outflowed by other bodies on a bench before and look more impressive in every way on paper. Real world testing they were miles away in every respect, so I'll wait for some actual results. I'll be extremely surprised if these come anywhere near ITB's, although no disrespect meant by this at all, but I dont really think a lot of people here understand beyond headline figures.
