Throttle body help!

Hi all, recently I have been having problems with my throttle body. So I took it to a renault specialist and they said that a new throttle body and the labouring costs would be about £500. Now I know that you can pick up second hand ones in good nick for about 70-100£ and I could fit it myself. My question is when the new throttle body has been attached will it work straight away or will it need to be out on a diagnostics machine to erase the fault?

Wow 500 quid?! I'm not sure how different the 1200 engines are from the F4R but the throttle body can be changed in about 10 minutes, when I changed mine I didn't need to wipe any codes or anything, it worked straight away, although the code moved from a current to a stored code instead. I picked up a replacement throttle body for 35 quid.

the TB is replaced and will work straight away. my garage tried to charge me 35 for them to wipe the code, i just did it myself!
