Tie Rod Ball Joint Stiffness

I've just purchased two FAI SS6263 tie rods. However, one of the tie rod ball joints is really stiff and can't even be moved by hand yet the other moves about under its own weight.

Should it be really easy or really hard to move by hand? Thanks

Shouldn't move about under it's own weight!

Should be pretty tight. Moveable by hand, but tight.

That's what I thought! I now have two brand new loose tie rods from FAI as the replacement they sent is exactly the same - not good. Thanks though
