Time for something a little different

Decided to whip my doorstrip badges off tonight and have a little play.

They started like this, black and silver:

Gave them a rub down with some 1200, and painted them gloss white:

Then sprayed some gloss black into the tin lid and used the "touch up brush" to detail the lettering:

I need to get a proper artists brush from somewhere to day to finish off a few imperfections, but I am liking

This is how they will look on

:D

I am quite pleased. Comments welcome

Cheers for the comments guys.

I will be giving them lashings of laquar tonight

Nice, how do those badges come off? do you just pull them off?

They have little clips behind, so it's either a case of being very gentle with a thin driver, or taking the door strip off to push the clips in.

f**k i though my mk2 ph1 badges were small, you must have had a tiny badge for that lettering mate well done they are tiny

It was quite intricate, but a few tins of fosters soon smoothed out my hand movements, lol

Oh deary me, lol. Methinks I will be re-doing them in black with white writing

They a bit too bright for my liking. Maybe it's the car needing a wash, maybe its the fact I didnt colour match............ but I think they look really s**t, ha ha haha

They do look a bit odd with the bright white.

Will look the dogs once had a decent colour match.
