timing belt replacement



  1.2 expression 16V
hi iam getting a bit concenred about my timing belt ,when its due to be changed,there so mant different reports of 4 years or 72,000 miles,i have a 2004(october) clio 1.2 16v dynamique it has 39,400 miles on the clock and in 2 mnoths time is 4 years old,and due a service+mot,am i best to get timing belt done also,or leave it longer???

i have an 03 plate 1.2 dynamique turning 46,000 still not done, but if it would settle your mind charge on, think its actually 5 years mate

72k or 5 years for a cambelt change on all renaults except traffics/masters which are at 90k

^ooh its nice up there, haven't been for years

the old wizz bang 1.2 16V engine will be fine until 5years, i changed mine at 60K, but that was mainly because the water pump was leaking through the bearing (very common, i suggest you change the water pump also)
