Tire pressure's with H&R's..

I'm noticing no oversteer anymore and a little understeer, generally only in the wet though.

I'm running 34f 31r as standard state's...

What would you change too ?

I'm thinking 32F 34R ?

Cheers

I'd be surpirsed if you noticed any difference fiddling with your tyres by a few psi.
either way, harder rears will induce a little more oversteer which im assuming is what your after.
Consider getting different springs on the H&Rs or just leaving it. It sounds like a good safe/fun balance to me

When I was deciding which coilovers to go for, a few people mentioned the h&r's being a bit soft at the back. If you speak to curtis at powerstation (AST suppliers) he can do some stiffer rear springs (Burp has them).

Yeah im going to give him a bell as Burp said his rear end is very nervous now which is not somethin im a fan of to much

Mine understeers like a b**ch in the wet !
Best bet go easy with the right foot.

When i first had my H&R's fitted it was slightly to low at the front as it used to scrub on hard corners/roundabouts. Now i have raised the front a little keeping a slight nose down stance she performs much better. The back does feel a little light when pushing hard but doesnt take much to counter.
So i would raise the front slightly ensuring the stance is slightly nose down. Similar ride height to the trophy !

I've changed to 32 F 34 R now and its much better, still understeer when powering round corners but there was on my sportlines too and its certainly far less on the H&R's now, plus im running 0.0 camber till i get my camber bolts fitted so that will improve things even more so..

you gonna go neg camber then if so how far. Mine are around -2 at the mo and feel great. Might try the tyre pressure reversal see what happens.

Going to go to about -1.5 i think,

Think 34 rear is a tada to much going to try 32 all round

Mine is slightly nose down... You got a picture side on of your's.. Here's mine.

34 in the front is too high... and i wouldnt run more in the rear on a clio!

On my coilies i ran 32 front 29 back.

i dont have 34 front sorry have 32 front 34 rear at the moment, ill try knokcing it down to 32 all round, i would of thought with 29 psi you got alot of sidewall flex no ? Any understeer ? :)

No understeer mate. Have run 31 front 27 rear on coilies too, but rear of the car was stripped.

Could it be anything to do with your cornering style at all?

Not sure lol

Generally the way i corner is turn in off the power till its pointing where i want to go then apply throttle accordingly depending on the degree and road camber etc.

I do attempt to power round corners but only when i feel it "should" go quicker lol..

Ill try 32 front 31 rear see how i do with that and then try what you had although you had diff tyres if i remember correctly 15s ?

You need to use the accelerator through the corner mate. Get all your braking done beforehand and accelerate out.

Grab me on msn at some point :)

Renault advise 33 F 31 R. What tyres are you running mate? I've found my car to understeer when not using really good quality tyres on the front. Really do need lots of grip at the front end especially in the wet, as there's a lot of weight there.

Try some Goodyear Eagle F1s, I really really rate them. No understeer, no squealing on corners and they grip like a muthafooka even in the wet.
