182
After getting rid of the black 172 due to not enough use and the girlfriend hating the 106 as a daily driver decided to get a 182 for her to use for work and for me to use as and when!
the 172 was a great laugh but having 3 cars wasn't so much fun and was costing a fortune!.
so the plan was to just find a cheapish one and get it to a healthy state
The colour makes these 182's a bargain I think so spotted one in York and came back with a new addition. First things first it got the timing and aux belts done and a full service. Got a cup spoiler put on it and sorted a new door for it as the other had some marking on the paint.
Forgot to get some pics! Though.
Next up was the private plate transferred onto the clio and some FK coilovers.
with the 182 not being and FF I gave the wheels a 'shed' refurb as a stop gap.
this is how it has been for the last 3 months
Over the last couple of weeks I have been ordering and collecting bits and bobs that can be took off and sold when the day comes to get shot of the clio.
Got hold of some 15" superleggeras, wilwoods, prima racing exhaust mounts, new rear discs and pads, and a few other little bits.
so started this morning seen as the weather had finally cleared up and started on the rear discs and pads as they were shot! Just went for mintex on the back. While I was under their gave the arches a good scrub and tidies up the rear calipers with a little bit of high temp paint. Just in a subtle colour though, matt black.
After that moved on the front, gave it a good scrub again and fitted the wilwoods. New discs and pads shortly.
i fitted the superleggeras today just to make sure that the cleared the brakes.
ill get some better pics tomorrow after a quick wash.
It is going in for its tracking to be done next week then the wheels will be coming off for a refurb in a light anthracite, love the wheels but I'm still not sure of them on the car. I think it's the silver on silver!
plans after that are a damn good clean and a detail, new bonnet, headlight correction and a new exhaust as the one that is on is a bit fooked! And maybe a few little additions to get it fresh again. Possibly change the oz's if they don't grow on me.
