To much gearbox oil

After coming back from a litte drive I thought i better check my gearbox oil level ready for a trackday next weekend, parked up on a flat surface and unscrewed the filling hole, i then had a nice surprise of oil coming out the front! I can only assume I overfilled it when I originally changed the oil even though I filled it up to the screw hole, I guess my car wasnt flat when I changed it :S

The oil will be a fair bit thinner if you have just come back from a hoon. Bare that in mind.

Not a hoon as such just a slow drive to the local shop and back, 5 mins driving if that. Im gunna check it again when the cars cold but a fair bit came out, was just abit surprised tbh!

Check your breather on top of the box too mate for peace of mind. Oil expands when it's warm, especially fully synthetics.

Always check the level cold.

Cars now cold, open it up and its still coming out slowly, bottom of my box is going to be very wet!
