tom tom issues...

my mum got a tom tom for xmas... connected it to my mac did the update... when you disconnect it and turn it on an image of the tom tom in the dock comes on the tom tom screen with a red circle with a cross in it flashing and nothing else happens... it did work untill the update... so anyone got any ideas??

Did you use tomtom home thing? Its f**king awful.

Sounds likes its wiped the SD card, which happened to my mates.

take it back and get a decent sat nav.

Did mine this morning on a windows laptop though, installed the tomtom home software, updated it job done.

make sure the sd card is pushed in properly

Sounds like it hasnt disconnected from your Mac properly.

Plug it back in, then disconnect it again....

had to wipe everything on it and re install it, works fine now... it doesnt have a sd card... its the 520... tbh i really like it, bluetooth etc works on it really good i like it, does its job and is easy to use for my mum.

TomTom home is an arse on the mac, mine seems to quit the first time when I go to update it.

lol did the exact same thing when i got mine today!! lol

Reinstalled and works a treat... home seems fine too.

What do you use with yours revels?
