Tom Tom Problems Grrrrr

we sold a Garmin Nuvi 360 to someone at work, to cut a very long story short he wasnt happy with it

we exchanged this for a tom tom go 910

as his computer is broke at the moment im trying to register his unit and make sure the speed cameras are on it

the unit keeps asking for a wireless data connection, all the options on the speed camera bit are ghosted out

tried connecting my phone with it but it wont update

tried installed HOME on my PC which does list speed cameras down the right hand side, and i seem to have installed some?......but on the actual unit i cant choose any options for them

why on earth are Tom Tom so popular, this unit isnt a patch on a Garmin, im really good with sat navs normally, can pick them up easy, this Tom Tom is a pain in the arse

The new x10 TomToms dont even let you program a favourite if it doesn't exist on a named road, e.g our sites are down country tracks and it refuses to store the data even though it shows on the map!

my tom tom go is really easy to use and ive added speed cameras

TomTom Home is awful software.

Plug it in Start > My Computer > TomTom

then just right click and explore and drag and drop the camera files.

The TomTom one is not as up-to-date as the PocketGPS World one so it's better to install that one instead. You will have to pay for both the databases so the PocketGPS World one is better value.

tried putting a database on but its not working, i cant see them listed in the POI's
