This car has been on here for a few years, SM52 LNK.

Been through a few owners within cliosport from what I've found. it was in my friends ownership early last year, took it to FCS, and it's sat in a barn ever since - and now I own it

Engine specs are as follows:


3 angled valves,
piper retainers and springs,
cat cams 508 profiles,
matched inlet manifolds,
throttle body matched polished and stiffer spring fitted,
FSE pressure regulator mk1 fuel rail,
walbro fuel pump,
mk1 sender unit,
custom air intake and shiny bits heat wrapped manifold ,
Spax krypton springs and shocks
Ktec full exhaust
Ktec inspired induction kit
Battery in boot
Rear strut brace and polybushed engine mounts.

It's had a new clutch, and a recon box by agency trans last year.

I went to see it last week, in a sorry state!

Fortunately, only a flat battery and tires. Got it started and gave it a quick clean:

Does go very well indeed. This is the 3rd 172 ive owned and it's a noticably quicker.

This will be a weekend/track toy for me - lots of weight reduction to be done!

Plans:

belts need changing. This is a priority.
change rotas for something oem and ditch the orange theme.
standard bonnet
Buckets
Get a track day in to judge current brake/suspension setup.

Looks very tidy mate. Looks a bit fussy as well with the different colours but it sounds like your sorting that.

Some questionable mods, especially the fuel system? You don't need to touch the pump unless going for silly power!

Looks clean though.

The fuel system has baffled me. Im sure the standard unit was happy with upto 300bhp?

All the engine work was done a few years back so.

What else do you think was questionable, out of curiosity? I can bear in mind for a later date if I want to make changes.
