my laptop takes agers to load up when i start it.any one know how i get rid of all or most of the taskbar icons that load up when windows has finnished loading..am runing vista thanks

add/remove programs to uninstall them, if not remove them from the startup in msconfig as already mentioned.

if the icon is on the toolbar at the botton of the screen simply right click, then select EXIT !
or to stop the program starting go into control panel and edit your startup programs!

+1 Start > Run > MSCONFIG > Startup

OR

Windows key on keyboard + R >MSCONFIG > Startup

untick all the stuff you don't want to start with your PC
