Top engine cover...

I've some cars without the top engine cover on.

Is this for looks or can it help cool the engine a tad???

Took mine off. Can't see any point to it really. Think they look a bit daft TBH. Just my point of view.

Just for looks and a bit of sound proofing the Cups did without it on ground or weight, cost and lack or soundproofing.
