Top mounts...what are they all about?

So i see alot of these nice looking "things" in people's bay were the suspension is bolted
What exactly do they do by having them? And would you have them with coilovers or do coilovers kind of replace what they do anyway?

Top mounts hold the suspension to the car. The "nice looking ones" are solid top mounts and stop movement improving turn in (i think) because the standard ones are rubber and flex.

May be wrong just my understanding anyway

So i could upgrade to solid top mounts and use with my coilovers?
Can anyone recomend if solid are the best etc?

Yes you can not essential though.

Ktec ones are supposed to be good.

I have corbymotorsport ones on the way, I have heard both good and bad things about them - let you know how I get on with them!

k-tecs are good quality it seems, I have 'em. but now I'd go for the AST ones as they're adjustable

You can dial in an extra degree of camber or castor with the AST top mounts
