Topping up the oil.

For the past two mornings i've had the "SERV" light come on
and the oil indicator on the trip computer come on.

I've checked the oil when cold and it's on minimum so a top
up is in order however, I can't remember what oil I used
it's either 0-40w or 5-40w.

Which ever one I use it's bound to be the wrong one,
will mixing different types be ok or what?

Check it when the engine is warm about three minutes after it has been turned off.

You want 5W-40.

Do a search next time, or google.

I know what oil is meant to go in it,
I just don't know if mixing 0-40w with 5-40w is ok.

He checked the oil when it was cold, he also doesn't know what type of oil his car needs. I told him.

Google will tell him, has also been covered millions of times on here.

So now you can all rip me apart, for commiting this crime.
