Track Car Build Looming

I’ve bought a 172 Cup track car with most things done. The issue I have is I’m 6’2 and am struggling to reach 1st/3rd. I’m going to buy a PMS Shifter but want to extend the linkage, can this be done and how?

Cut and weld bud, you can pretty much manufacture anything

I can’t remember who is was but there is a build on here where that they have fitted the shifter further back and made the linkage longer. Anything is possible ?

@Tomotek did a custom gear lever in his.

It will all depend on where you position the seat.. our seat is as far back as possible for CG purposes.. So I had to move the gear lever back about 20cm

I moved mine about 5cm inwards. Surprisingly makes all the difference. I am 6’4” by the way. Seat is as far back as physically possible. More details in my build.
