Hiya chaps..
Bought this valver off a friend. Intentions are to use it as a track day car. The car is never intended to be road legal, nor do i want to increase the power as im sure i can have some fun with the engine stock.
At the moment im helping a mate (forum user on here) mikeydee who competes in 750 motor club stock hatch championship and have been offered a place on the trailer when his dad takes his stock 106 rallye down to track days so i have no problems transporting it. Just wondered on what people suggested i do. the following list are things i think it needs to be ready for a decent track day weapon... as i said before it will purely be a track toy no road use. Currently the car is stock except lowered 60mm on springs and shocks and has black turbines.. I have also took the back seats, carpets and door cards out. Please bear in mind im on a slight budget
1. New tyres (looking for suggestions on brands/type)
2. New Pads Ferodo ds2500's
3. Have the steering rack welded as is got the usual fault the valvers have
4. 2 new lower arms with new bushings already pressed into them
5. remove front carpets, door cards and headlining to complete the stripping
6. Roll cage (probably a bolt in one as i feel its adequate on my finances)
7. Pair of harnesses (probably sparco or any branded ones)
8. Cold air feed from n/s fog light as its a cheap mod and feel the airbox will get a bit heat soaked when its getting thrashed.
Just looking for you experienced track day people to suggest anything else
thanks
josh
