16v UK Cup Race Car
Thought it was about time I started a Project thread as I've done quite a bit to this car since getting it and its turning out to be quite the toy.
I was after a dedicated track toy, having tracked my 197 Cup which is one of my road cars. I found this Monaco 172 on here, owned by ImprezaWorks, I'm sure some of you know the car. A phone call and a nightmare 19hr journey from Sussex to the Wirral and back (traffic, roadworks etc) and I got it back home. Here it is basking in the warm and sunny South last August.
A reasonably good spec to start with - Bilstein B14's, K-Tec mounts, K-Tec exhaust, Federal 595 RS-R's, Cobra buckets, harnesses, Poly windows, Oreca cage etc..
Sorted out quite a few bits & pieces, removed a lot of junk, serviced it thoroughly, bolt checked everything....
Bought another set of Federal 595 RS-R's on Team Dynamics 1.2's, plus another set of TD 1.2's with wets..
....and off we went to our first track day.
Upon arrival a mate who owns a sign shop had made up a decal set which was expertly applied and it transformed the visuals of the car...
It performed faultlessly. However, there were quite a few things that I wanted to improve, so...
