Trackday tyres, wheres cheapest ?

  172 cup trackday
Looking for a set of trackday tyres, been trawling the threads to find a good deal but has anybody had recent deals I could follow up ?
Not really looking for a specific tyre, just one that is good value, 195 or 205 50/15's x 4.
Cheers

Cheapest 'track' ish tyres I could find were R1R's from mytyres and get fitted locally, worked out around £350 fitted for the 4.

RSR's where more expensive when I bought my R1R's, perhaps my guessed price is a little high but that did include what I paid for fitting.

My tyres don't have any RSR's in stock.

Ears Motorsport are doing 195/50/15 Yoko AD08's for £310 delivered and R1-R's for a bit less.

They sell R1R at £68 which ain't bad but I wanted RSR lol. Cam Skils they where £64 aswell a few weeks back but there price has gone up too.

hi demand ends up with higher prices, bit of a t**t really, think im gonna give R1r's a try, the Yoko Paradas that were on my F1's are okay in the dry but fook me they're awful on the slightest bit of damp road, may take them off and sell them as they're like new

R1-R's are really good. They do wear quickly on the front wheels though. I went through a pair inside a year but the rear ones are still on the car after 18 months and have plenty of life left. I've now got a pair of Federal 595-R's on the front which I had fitted last August. They have done 4 trackdays and about 5000 miles and still look ok. Bit more of an open tread pattern than R1-R's but they have been fine so far in all weather as long as you're sensible in the rain when there's standing water.
