Trackday Tyres

Car  Bumder With A Buffer
Am looking at replacing the duronsports that came on my Monza R I got for track day and was wondering what people get on with? I considered R888's but a bit unsure as they wear easily??

Does anyone have any R888's?? And if so how have you found the wear on them?? There's a good chance I may well keep the Team dynamics on after the track day so the R888's would stay on as well... just dont know if they are worth the mohoney!

I had r888's but now considering Hankook RS2's or Kumho's as seen some very good write ups & value wise much better as i need 17's.

i had r888,s on my 21t and found them excellent so i stayed with them...stuck like glue when nice and warm although the do wear alot very quickly

Replace all 4 or don't bother.

2 different compounds of track rubber front & rear:S

80 quid a tyre too aint they?? I only want to do the fronts :(

Yea, as above that won't work unless you just want to 1/4 mile with them. Although you might feel that it's the front hat needs increaseing in grip (traction, understeer etc), if you put 888s on the front and left road tyres on the back it'll oversteer like mad and be very easy to spin.

All 4 or none Richy............ I've read R888's make you faster around the Track but kind of take the fun out of it :(

I'd go with Steve on the Kumho's Fella

All the more fun for trying to keep it one the runway ;) lol

Might just go down either the kumho or Toyo T1's route then as they are cheap.

I High;y Rated my Kumho KU31's when I used them on Snetterton and many other cars were also running them
