Suzuki SV650
My tracking on my 172 is 'miles out' according to the garage I took it to earlier, but I also have another problem, the wishbone and anti-roll bar on the drivers side of the car are 1-1.5cm apart, you can get your finger in there, but on the nearside of the car they are pretty much together (which is how it should be right?)
I had a bit of a front end 'prang' several weeks ago and although I haven't driven the car I thought the damage was purely cosmetic (bonnet/grille/bumper) as the impact was fairly low-speed, although from lookin underneath the car today it may have caused more damage than I had thought...
Anyway, I'm going to take it for a proper look tomorrow, but I may end up taking the car over to Fred @ yozzasport or maybe Rentech down in portsmouth to get it all sorted out. Should I get the tracking aligned now because I may be doing a few miles in it or should I wait until the wishbone/anti-roll bar/(worse case scenario; the subframe) are sorted out? ie, if i get the tracking done, will it just 'make itself miles out again' as soon as I start driving the car, or will it hold for a good journey?...
It appears to drive fine, and it doesn't pull to one side or anything. The anti-roll bar has come out 2-3mm out of the rubber bush thing thats at one end of it. I don't know how safe or not this is to drive....
I'd get pics, but its 2am.... Will take some tomorrow if I can.
