Traction Control on snow.

This is a wierd thing on a car. I just tried to get up my street and was doing well until the 306 in front of me stopped and could not get up. So i let him down and showed him what to do in reverse. I got about 20ft from the top and the t/c kicked in and stoped me. So i floored it, pedal to the floor and it crept back megga slow and i had all the neighbours looking lol:rasp:

I had the same happen to me the other week, I was making my way up a steep snow covered hill when some t**t wouldn't shut his passenger door so I had to stop. After I'd finished threatening to kill him I tried to get going again, at first using the usual method, which wasn't going well. Then the TC cut in and was flicking on and off very quickly which allowed the car to move off very easily. I was amazed as I've never seen it work that well before.

Is it easier to get up a hill in reverse then?

It was in my corsa but not sure in this with t/c on.

Yup, puts more weight on the wheels.

Yup .. your pushing the car instead of pulling it. Turns it into a virtual rear wheel drive car going backwards
