Trip Computer refresh rate

After resetting the computer, the refresh rate for each readout including mpg and mph is far faster than it ever was before. Prior to doing this, i would not see much difference from week to week hence my thinking that it was reading incorrectly, since resetting its almost like have a digital speedo, I can floor it and get 18-19mpg but crawl around in 5th and its upto the high 30's. Im assuming it takes an average over the miles covered since resetting, meaning the more miles I do, the less it will refresh.

It will be alot quicker once reset.

The MPG function shows the average mpg since it was last reset NOT the current MPG. Same with average speed.
