Trip Computer. Whats the Crack??

  Cup 172
Now then,
My trip computer has decided to start re-setting itself every time I turn the engine off. Have I put it into some weird mode or is the French electrics...??

Thanks,
Phil.

common problem, renault replace them under warranty, but they have to replace the full dials, and CAN'T fix your millage, so could look dodgey when it comes to selling up.

Ill probably just leave it then. Its under extended warranty but that only has a set limit. Id rather keep it for in case something goes properly wrong...

mine started doing this when I changed the ecu to a remaped one, i'm not really bothered about it tho.

this has been discussed many times before, with the general consensus blaming cold temperatures effecting the chips in the dialset.

There a few possible problem faulyu dashboard is common also bad wire behind the dash and bad battery.

Martin - Renault can fix the milage if they wanted but your car only looses the trip not the milage even with new dashboards they can still change the milage.

edde, so you can change the dials and keep your original millage? couple of people on here said they had new dials under warranty because of this problem and it reset their millage and renault said nothing they could do?
