trip computer

hi all the wife owns a three year old 1.5dci clio,we have been quoted £320 for an mot and 36000 mile service be our local dealer i will probably get an mot and the fluids, filters changed at a non franchised dealer using renault parts my question is does the trip computer need reseting after the service and hows it done and is the service light a fault indicator or just purely for service indication any info much appreaciated cheers h.

serv light is a service indicator on the megane, but on the clio is purely for fault finding. its not a bad price considering its renault, but if you go to an independant you'll find it alot cheaper.
