Trojan Horse Help! trojan horse downloader.Zlob.AFVX

Hi,

Please can someone offer some advice. I've recently had AVG flagging up I've got a trojan horse threat entitled:

trojan horse downloader.Zlob.AFVX

No matter how many scans I run or how many times I try to heal it it keeps popping back up.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE how do I get rid of it. I've installed Avast too but still no luck after running a full virus scan.

try running your antivirus scan when your computer is in safe mode, as if the virus is active in software that is being used it often cant be removed.

to boot in safe mode press F8 on start up

Look into a program called ComboFix. Make sure you read its instructions very carefully before using it.

Hi,

loaded windows in safemode and ran virus scan. It found folder in Windows>System32 and the virus folder. however, even after several different attempts to delete it (as admin) the folder keeps coming back.

Any advice on how to get rid of it permanently please?

No Not yet - was kind of a last resort. Ran AVG, located threat and deleted several times - safe mode, normal mode, administrator but to no aevail.

have you tried 'The Hoff's suggestion of spybot S&D, seem to remember this has removed it before too. can download it free from http://www.safer-networking.net/

Have you turned off system restore before doing any of this?

you need a program called Malware Bytes

ive used this to get rid of Zlob before, and FYI AVG is piss poor get a proper anti virus

Download, update, run, remove. Reboot, rerun and remove.

Zlob is killed by Malware Bytes and is a fantastic free program.
