The price says it all. £7995 with only bumper damage. Yeah right. Something needs to change to stop innocent people buying written off cars.

this is the only reason i've posted what i have..... i'd hope that before someone buys it they research cliotrophy, cliosport or renaultsport where they'll see my posts of accident damage etc.
 
who actually fixed it up then? Surely thats against trading standards? eg buy a written off car patching it then selling it "minor damage to bonnet and bumper" knowing full well what has happened to it grrrrrrrrrr, pisses me off chances are some innocent person will buy then discover what is wrong with it further down the line.

Lol, i tried to say this in another thread, and everyone thought i was just getting my claws out.
 
That is absolutely outrageous!

If it is all straight, and been repaired well, then the price is possibly good value??, but "cracked bumper" does'nt exactly shout "cat c" unless the person asks. I guess as it needs a VIC test to go back on the road, it must have been repaired correctly? Although, does'nt sound as though they are very honest....
 
If they are willing to leave big details out like the fact it's been written off, what else shall they neglect to mention?

It's wrong that its a case of "If you don't ask you don't know."
It should be a legal requirement to declare everything about the car to any prospective purchaser, not wait for them to ask.

guy called tapais, had a LY VX220 before it.

Crushed is a little dramatic CC, just needs to be cheaper.
 
is this the same one being sold by cit-ren, they had a few trophys so probably repaired it with their spare parts, for a quick profit, i would have taken it if i had the cash but saving for a meg 225

to be honest i was supprised it was written off, probably a deal was made with the insurance company and this salvage yard, whos your insurance company ? as cit-ren seem to get all the cups and trophys and 182's ?

P.S. Gareth, them speed camera's up their didn't get me that other day i met you :) thank god.
 
Also the ad says adjustible suspension, so they probably scrapped the trophy shocks as they aren't adjustible, i think they had their own repaired trophy, so they probably used some parts from their

drivers side Recaro isnt worth having as thw wood that came through the windscreen has ripped it..... and it was twisted slightly on the runners.

if they were decent still Bubbles would have battled you to the front of the queue for the seats! ;)
