Trophy on Auto Trader... any good?

500 budget for refurb.

I wouldnt buy that high miler. Your gonna throw 5k at it and still end up with a 3.5k car private

BG Motorsport do the damper refurbs mate.

Personally mileage isnt an issue aslong as its been looked after, that car has been for sale for a couple of months so you could easily squeeze him down to 4000 cash. Could be a nice car if its been looked after

I went to this garage yesterday and put a deposit down on a silver 182, had a butchers at the trophy but wouldnt buy a car on 85k anyway

Why not lol.

Makes bugger all difference its in been looked after!

My 181k mile Trophy drives exactly the same as my old 50k mile one. In fact, it has more power ...

Damn. I was also considering that one. Was possibly going to look at both. Were they decent to deal with and did they knock anything off for you?

Yeah were fine, not pushy or anything. didnt knock anything off the asking price, which was a shame but may on the trophy not sure, probably depends from car to car

Did you see anything obvious on the trophy that needs doing? Steering wheel? Seat wear?

I mean it looked in good condition but wasnt going to view it so didnt look inside or pop the bonnet or anything, but from what I see from it, it looked good. Its indoors so is pretty dark inside so you would be better off getting it in the daylight outside

Exactly this. Mine (Dave's old one) is coming up to 85k and drives superbly.

Will also be up for sale shortly. Guess I'll expect offers of around 2k from the cliosport spackers.

Apologies if this is a re-post but Ive seen this car advertised for a few weeks now and as it's not sold I'm dubious as to why.
Any thoughts? If it needs dampers refurbing, what cost is likely and where can they be done?
what should I look for to determine if they need doing?

Thanks

cars not sold as overpriced for the current market. CHEAP PRICE = QUICK SALE, HIGH PRICE = SLOW SALE

wouldnt sell it that cheap will get more in parts

What is it with people and milage on a car for feck sake it's a car drive it and enjoy it and look after it and it will last you many many happy miles. I have had cars with over 200k on the clock and they have been looked after and drive fantastic

Called the guy today and sounded really quite off and won't budge a penny on price...Looks like they'll be inviting it to this years Christmas party then...
