if the vvti did not work the car would idle very roughly it cuts off roughly below 2grand i think i couldbe wrong but i´m sure someone will correct me,yeah i like the one about the handpicked maybe they were picked from ones made on a friday afternoon,the 182 manifold on a 172 is a lot of work for a few hours its engine out job i suppose the time to do would be if you were having an engine built etc

It would idle fine as it sits dephased naturally, it would only idle like a tractor if you put 12v across the solenoid below 1500rpm.

If it was broke it would feel flat through the revrange, although some people say they cant feel a difference at all.

guys its a clio F4R engine, not a hand built AMG unit

I'll have you know that my engine has AMG written all over it....
