Trophy Pressure???

  RX8 231 + New Focus CC3
Didn't check the pressures on my tyres since i picked up my clio trophy 8weeks ago until today. The car handles great but was a little confused to find out i was running 40psi on the back and 31psi on the front??? Is this due to the sachs suspention that it should be higher on the back or has the previous owner just made a bad mistake. I have exaltos all round runnin trophy standard set up.

Anyone have a clue cause i dont?!

No certainly shouldn't be like that. Most people generally run the fronts a couple of PSI more than the rear.

Book says 33/30. Some of us are running lower, either 31/28 or even 28/26. The lower pressures seem fine for every day use, and take some of the harshness out of the ride. Possibly need 33/30 for spirited driving.

I really dont mind a hard ride so will prob run 33/30. always ran fronts higher than backs on all my other cars and that is what got me confused. Even more so because of the suspention on the trophy, never had somethin set up like it so thought id best ask!

apprieciate the advice

Does anyone run slightly higher pressures than low 30's and whats the drive like???

I usually run 32 up front and 30 out the back.

It does state in the handbook that you can raise the pressures to 39/32 on 195/45 rubber and 36/32 on 195/50 for motorway use
