Tune Point help....please.......

Hi guys. Today I fit my tune point to my 2002 172. Done it in minutes. I just got an 80gb i-pod for xmas so connected it up and it sounds great. However its not working right. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what is wrong?

1. Pluging the i-pod in turns it on even though the ignition is off.
2. The i-pod never turns off. Its not using the cars battery, its using its own, but the head unit is obviously not telling it to turn off.
3. When the car is running the i-pod doesn't charge. It says in the tunepoint manual that it should.

Apart from the above, it works fine. I can scroll through tracks and it sounds great. I just need to it to turn off when I stop the car! and also to charge it up!

Anyone have any ideas on what I can try?

Faulty? Mine works fine, fitted it myself too. Send it back to France.

Got exactly the same issue with mine, All works fine but does not switch off when the CD player is turned off. Not the end of the world but would be nice if it did (Mine is a 2003 172 - Maybe its a headunit issue not fully compatable or something)

J, I now have a 2003 172 and its the same. I never leave th ei-pod in the car though so its not really a problem. And it must charge it cos it never runs out of power.
