Turbo Charged Clio

[Clio R]

i was looking in gallery on main cliosport page and noticed there was pictures of a gold clio. from a greek magazine which looked intresting does anyone have any information on this car or any links etc ,its on page nine is cheers ross

Yeap.Its a car improoved by a greek magazine and got a lot spended......but never worked properly and the motor has blown up twice so the guy convert it finally on 2,0 N/a..

yes they spended a lot of money on that car for turbocharging the 1.6 16v engine and it had 200+ps. the suspension was a special order from leda and leda made a suspension for the clio for first time.

I heard that in Greece, your insurance purely went off engine size - rather than mods done to the engine. So a 1.6 16v turbocharged engine car kicking out circa 200bhp would be cheaper than a standard 1.8 16v car.

Not sure how true it is, but thats what Ive heard!

Yeap,thats true.The only thing that matters is engine size,but they are some cars (which crashes more often than other,clio williams,saxo,peugeot etc)that have slightly increased insurance.To understand better i m paying for my willy( heavily moded,T/B etc) about 350-440 quid for a year...

yes its true.
this car was tuned by the magazine drive and it was very good. Leda made a coilover kit exclusively for them and now it is converted into 2.0 n/a will be much better.
everyone who drove it in the track went out and said that the car is fantastic.
