Is there any benefit to fitting updated cams to a turbo engine?

Yea, but obviously different profile to uprated N/A cams, and you'll need to be running a decent amount of power before you'd get much benefit from cams.

Need more info on engine etc.

If your talking 172 - stock cams with adequate turbo and related mods, are good for 500+hp
