why not just sell the clio, use the 8k and buy something decent like an evo or skyline with bigg power?? would eat a clio.

if i had 8k i wouldnt blow it to get 300bhp in a clio, i blow it to get more!! . But thats my opinion and its your money.

Not much, but you'd need to be prepared to keep upgrading things (gearbox for example). Depends how hands on you are. The K-tec turbo conversion is about £6.5k fitted IIRC, we just fitted and mapped Omex on one and it's a nice conversion. For over 300bhp I'd specify a GT28RS 0.86A/R (bigger than the turbo that comes with the kit)

^^ that's a sensible suggestion. But then you'd almost certinally loose AC and you'd have to sort out a custom dash probably. Swings and rounabouts, Depends what matters to you.

Thanks for the input everyone. If I'm going to do it its going to be in September. Looks like i will go for it makes my car one of few. Mates done some stuff to his fiesta took it from 106 to 170 over next few months taking it over 220. spent more than the car is worth but the fun we have had out of it. If i go for it i will make a project thread bout it and get pics up of progress.

I'm in the middle of turbo'ing my 172 at the moment. Kit from K-tec is very good and I can't see why there will be loads of problems if done right. Everyone bangs on about buying a quick car to start with, well I had an Escort Cosworth and it was the most unreliable car i've ever owned

turbo has lots of power,BUT dont expect to be able to use it below 40 mph.great high speed cruiser though.i sugest you go on test drive before you decide.

Gone right off a r32. V6 costs to much to run and i need the room in car i travel alot so i would clock the miles up fast. last year i did 35,000 lol

Anyone know what petrol consumption is like for a turbo. I suppose you can drive it slow and not really push the engine most of the time so I'm guessing it just depends how you drive
i used to get around 19miles to £10 when pushing hard with a turbo.

depends on the mapping and how you drive it, should be pretty similar to standard for motorway driving
