tv for £500

what tv would you choose for around £500 i wanted to treat myself i'll be using it for my xbox 360 (when i get it repaired) also will be investing in sky hd soon what tv would you pick for this money? want the best picture quality i can get and all the numbers on the write up mean nothing to me so any help would be great! thanks in advance!

Panasonic make brilliant TV's. There vierra link is a handy feature too!

What screen size are you going for? If its 32" and above go for plasma, the quality will be alot better expecialy for sports or other fast moving programs.

32" and below LCD is fine, it can just about provide the same quality!

Panasonic do some brilliant ones, look out for the ones with 24p on the spec sheet!!

The only thing it doesnt have is the vierra link but thats not needed unless you have panasonic dvd players/stereos/bluray player!

They are! i've never thought about a panasonic tv before til after i bought an LCD one!

Thought sony would be brilliant with the brand name and everything.. then realised sony dont even make their own plasma screens.. they use ... panasonics!

i have a 47" lg plasma under 500 quid from digital direct in nov last year.
awesome contrast ration 1080p blah de blah hd.
there prices have went up quite a bit tho this year.
